Sounds good to us

We subscribed and bagged our first six products. Here’s how we got on… (note some prices vary slightly depending on shade due to production costs)

Everyday Great Skin Foundation, £4.75-£5.12 for members (non-members: £30)

‘I was reluctant to buy a foundation without trying it first, but I seem to have hit the jackpot. This medium coverage, super-blendable base feels very expensive,’ says beauty & heath director Rose Beer.

One Powder Wonder, £2.90 (non-members: £26)

‘Want to blur, perfect, disguise oversized pores and add luminosity, too? Try this,’ says junior beauty writer Phoebe Mcdowell.

Futurelipstick Matte in Power Up Pink, £2.23-2.35 (non-members: £20)

‘I know my lipsticks and I was impressed by its luxurious matte yet moisturising finish, which is famously hard to achieve. That said, I misjudged the shade, but at a price like this I was happy to hand it over to Phoebe, on whom it looked fab,’ says Sam.

Flash False Lash Mascara, £1.95 for members (non-members: £20)

‘I like my mascara to add volume, length and curl without clumping – and this magic wand managed to do exactly that. I’m impressed,’ says associate beauty editor Sam Freedman.

Wondergel Eyeliner, £2 (non-members: £17)

‘I rarely use gel eyeliners, but when I do, I know I want them buttery-soft and seriously pigmented. This ticked both boxes,’ says Rose.

Liquid Luminizer, £2.66 (non-members: £20)

‘With golden undertones, expect this magic highlighter to brighten skin from within. I mixed a little with foundation, while also dabbling with a little over my cheekbones. The perfect sheen, without a glimpse of sparkle,’ says Phoebe.
