THE FASHION ELITE have been busy upping their braid game this week, with Gigi, J-law, Hailee and Sofia all stepping out displaying artistic cornrows, dishevelled French braids and pretty pleats. ‘Braids are very much back,’ reveals London session stylist and favourite-of-the-stars Adam Reed. ‘And they’re no longer just for schoolgirls. These modern looks work for women of all ages, exuding strength and femininity’.
So whether your Christmas plans involve venturing to the office do (we wish you well), clocking up Netflix hours, all-night NYE partying or frosty park walks, we suggest plaits should be a priority. ‘Look both to the streets and the catwalks for your inspiration,’ suggests Reed. ‘Moncler, Hervé Léger, Dior and Felder Felder were just a few of the runways that featured unusual weaves that combined the classically beautiful and a touch of modern cool.’
