IS GWYNETH SECRETLY ENGAGED?
BACK IN MAY, Grazia broke the story that Brad Falchuk had filed papers to finalise his divorce from Suzanne Bukinik, paving the way for him to marry Gwyneth Paltrow. Now, insiders are speculating that the couple have got secretly engaged.
Guests at Jay Z’s recent birthday party reveal that Gwyneth wore a huge diamond ring and was overheard introducing Brad as her ‘fiancé’. Adding to the rumours, the actor and spirulina enthusiast is said to have been in touch with Lisa Mcgraw, the wedding planner who organised her friends Beyoncé and Jay’s wedding in secret in 2008.
According to one source, ‘Ostensibly, Gwyneth has been in touch about planning a party at her Malibu mansion for Brad’s birthday in March. But friends suspect this might be a cover story, and that she’s actually planning to do a “Jen and Justin” by holding a top secret wedding ceremony at home.’
In August 2015, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux surprised 70 guests who arrived at their home expecting to celebrate his birthday when the couple revealed that they were actually hosting an intimate wedding. The source added, ‘Gwyneth was a guest at Jennifer’s nuptials and loved the element of surprise. She also liked how low-key the ceremony was, and thinks that a similar vibe would be appropriate for her own second wedding. She wants something authentic that reflects her and Brad’s relationship.’
Gwyneth and Brad started dating in August 2014, after meeting on the set of Glee, the TV show he co-created. Brad’s ex-wife Suzanne served him with divorce papers in April 2013, but it was only once his relationship with Gwyneth got serious that he submitted a declaration of income and expenses, allowing the split to move forward. Legal papers seen by Graziaia show that the final judgement was signed by a judge on 1 September, legally ending their marriage.
‘Now that both Gwyneth and Brad’s divorces have been processed, there’s nothing stopping them,’ said the source. ‘Because Gwyneth and Chris are still so close, there’s no doubt that he’ll be by her side on the big day.’
Speaking about whether she would marry again earlier this year, Gwyneth said, ‘Life has some incredible surprises and you never know the people you are going to meet. I think marriage is a beautiful and noble institution. And I haven’t gone off it. I absolutely believe in marriage; I wouldn’t rule it out.’
