What is your favourite Christmas memory?
Finding a quiet moment with my mother one evening and walking along Fifth Avenue looking at all the Christmas windows together. You can’t beat Christmas in New York.
And the biggest Christmas Day disaster?
Thankfully, we’ve never had one! My mother Lynn is a total pro at Christmas, she has everything covered. She is so diligent and organised, she puts most people to shame.
What would you like to find under the tree this year?
The best Christmas present would be for my dog, Mr Butler [above], to behave and not destroy our tree. Also, a fabulous shearling jacket by Boss Orange. It’s very versatile.
Is it better to give or receive?
It’s lovely to receive a present, but thinking of what another person will like is the best. It’s the thought that counts.
What’s your best ever present?
Beautiful jewellery given to me by my mother. You couldn’t put a price on it but it’s very special to me.
And the worst?
A Moleskine notepad.
Who cooks Christmas dinner in your house?
My mom. She’s a well-trained chef and puts together her own menu. My dad and I always try to help, but she is incredible.
What’s your favourite Quality Street?
We don’t have those in the US, but I adore candy canes. I love how traditional they are.
When do you do your Christmas shopping?
I take after my mother who taught me from an early age to keep your eyes peeled throughout the year for Christmas presents. I store them away until the time comes, and it takes the stress out of Christmas shopping.
What will you wear on Christmas Day?
I think it’s important to look your best. I try to be pulledpull together without being over the top, maybe some fancyfa trousers with a nice sweater and a brogue. There’ll probably be a statement piece of jewellery, too.
Favourite Christmas song?
All I Want For Christmas by Mariah Carey. It’s hands down the best song she’s ever done.
Who would you like to kiss under the mistletoe?
My dog, Mr Butler!
What’s your New Year’s resolution?
To give back more. I work with an NGO [non-governm [non-governmental organisation] in Africa called ADCAM to help suppo support young kids in the school system. I always want to do more f for them.
