BRADLEY AND IRINA TO MARRY BY NEW YEAR

AS THEY POSED for photos alongside Allison Williams and Diane Von Furstenberg on holiday in Tahiti earlier this month, many assumed Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk were celebrating the birth of their four-month-old daughter Lea.

But there is another reason for their smiles: they are officially engaged. ‘There was a very intimate proposal at home,’ a source told

Grazia. ‘Brad made her an amazing dinner before getting down on one knee and popping the question with an antique ring she’d been eyeing up for months.

‘She was shocked as she’d been thrown off the scent: Brad’s mum Gloria told her he’d sworn off marriage forever after having his heart broken in the past.’

The pair first started dating two years ago after Irina, 31, broke up with Cristiano Ronaldo after five years together and following 42-year-old Bradley’s split from Suki Waterhouse in March 2015.

Back then, they were seen going on a theatre date, walking in New York and kissing in a London car park. Then, last November, Irina prompted rumours that she was pregnant when she appeared in the Victoria’s Secret show in Paris with a baby bump (Lea, was born the following March).

‘Irina has her heart set on getting married over the New Year with a low-key wedding in Mexico,’ added the source. ‘She wants to be surrounded by just a few close family and friends, rather than some big, lavish bash.

‘Brad will probably ask Leonardo Dicaprio to be his best man and will have his A-list pals by his side. But they want to make it as intimate as possible and will make it a destination wedding which will be special for them both.’
