A MOVABLE FEAST
Festival season may have come to an end but, rather than stalking your favourite band, follow your stomach instead (a much more enjoyable and less hangover-ridden pursuit, in our opinion). Food festivals occur yearround but there are a couple of goodies this month. Perfect for a day trip or weekend away is the Abergavenny Food Festival (16-17 September; abergavennyfoodfestival.com), where Olia Hercules is cooking a four-course feast from her new book
Kaukasis, which is all about food from the Caucasus (Armenian, Azerbaijani, Georgian). At the Aldeburgh Food & Drink Festival ( aldeburgh foodand
drink.co.uk) in Suffolk, you can book tickets to masterclasses run by a range of cooks, from Catalonian with José Pizarro to Indian with
Bake Off’s Chetna Makan, plus sushi from Mike Keen. Go!
