Demi comes between Mila & Ashton
LAST MONTH, EYEBROWS were raised when Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher attended their mutual friend Guy Oseary’s Rio de Janeiro wedding and left ‘within minutes of each other’.
Now, Grazia understands that their reunion – four years after they divorced in 2013 – has created tension between Ashton and Mila Kunis, who the actor married in 2015.
‘Ashton has been in very hot water ever since he returned from Guy’s wedding,’ said a source. ‘Mila was apparently uncomfortable that he was hanging out with Demi there, the media focus on their “reunion” was really humiliating for her.
‘He and Demi got very cosy together at the wedding, everyone was talking about it afterwards. What made it worse was the fact Mila wasn’t too keen on Ashton going to Brazil in the first place. She was superbusy promoting her Bad Moms film and wanted him to stay at home with the kids. They had words about it before he left, but it was nothing compared to the tension when he got back.’
Demi, 54, and Ashton, 39, split after six years of marriage, amid rumours he’d cheated. In 2011, it was claimed he had slept with admin assistant Sara Leal after a party in his suite at the Hard Rock Hotel, San Diego – on the eve of his sixth wedding anniversary with Demi. Sara later said of the incident, ‘If I were Mila I’d be careful, he doesn’t have the best track record.’
‘Privately, Mila is feeling very down about Ashton seeing Demi,’ continued the source. ‘She has always struggled with trust issues with Ashton, and they’ve been going through a difficult stage This hit extra hard.’
The pair got together after a house party in 2011 and married in a private ceremony four years later. Their daughter, Wyatt Isabelle, was born in October 2014, followed by their son, Dimitri Portwood, last year.
Last week, Mila said she didn’t want any more children, telling a reporter, ‘I will only have two. I have heard moving from two to three is the hard jump. It’s hard when they outnumber you. Right now, we’re fine. One hand, one hand. One eye, one eye. Two people, two kids.’
As for Ashton? ‘He swears nothing happened with Demi and that Mila has no reason to worry,’ said our source. ‘He’s admitted they spent some time chatting and catching up, but otherwise they did their own thing. He doesn’t want this to be blown out of proportion.’
