‘Gold leaf is beautiful,’ enthuses Mel. ‘It catches the light like nothing else and is an easier alternative to glitter. Use a tiny amount to accentuate the places where the light catches your eyes – namely the inner corners or centre of the lid. A dab of lash glue will keep it in place.’
