AND THIS LITTLE PIGGY WENT TO FASHION THE OSCARS...!

-

SHE’S THE LAST word in ‘fabulosity’ with a wardrobe to match. Now the inimitable Miss Piggy is gearing up to take on the biggest names in fashion as the Swarovski red carpet presenter at the British Fashion Awards next week. It could be a tricky assignment. The lady herself says, ‘I’ve devoted my life to one simple goal: always be the centre of attention. And, naturally, I’ve succeeded.’ (Nobody ever said humility was her forte.)

Ahead of the big night, we turned the tables to put the diva herself in the spotlight, and asked five of this year’s nominees to ask her whatever they wanted…

BEST EMERGING TALENT WOMENSWEAR NOMINEE, MATTY BOVAN ASKS:

If you could be any heroine in history, who would you love to have been? Marie Antoinette. Fantastique hair. Incredible wardrobe. And she was a big fan of cake, just like moi.

BEST EMERGING TALENT MENSWEAR NOMINEE, CHARLES JEFFREY ASKS:

You’ve had your portrait captured by some of the most iconic imagemakers in the world... Are there any artists or photographers you haven’t worked with yet, that you’d like to? Da Vinci. Yeah, I know he didn’t use

a camera, but I just love the portraits he paints... and I hear they just found a new $450 million da Vinci painting, so maybe he’s back at the easel again. Leo, call if you want me to stop by. I’m in the book.

BUSINESS LEADER NOMINEE, JOSÉ NEVES, FOUNDER & CEO OF FARFETCH. COM ASKS:

Are you tech savvy? Tech savvy?! Oh, heavens no! I have people who hire people who do all that techy stuff for moi. As for how important technology is to fashion: it’s changed the industry. Now I don’t have to leave the house to shop online for almost anything I want to wear!

BEST EMERGING TALENT MENSWEAR NOMINEE, HENRY HOLLAND OF HOUSE OF HOLLAND ASKS:

Who is your favourite designer and why? Oh, I have so many favourite designers – Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Christian Louboutin, Vivienne Westwood, to name just a few. It would be unfair to them to pick a single favourite. And it would be unfair to moi, because then the others might get jealous and stop sending me free clothes!

BEST EMERGING TALENT WOMENSWEAR NOMINEE, NATALIA ALAVERDIAN OF A. W. A. K. E ASKS:

If you were to be in a film, who would you like to star alongside? As vous know, moi has been in many films and starred alongside many of the greatest actors in Hollywood history. It has been a pleasure for me and an honour for them. But the one thing I’ve always wanted to do is an ensemble picture – you know, where a single star is surrounded by a group of fellow stars. I’m thinking moi with George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Leo Dicaprio and Matt Damon. You’d go see that picture, right? I know I sure would. The British Fashion Awards will take place on 4 December. See Miss Piggy in action on the red carpet with a live stream on the Swarovski Facebook channel from 6pm that day
