I KNOW I don’t want kids, I’m super-excited about all the things I’ve planned, like forever, but the absolute proliferation of babies in my life (and unintentionally judgey/snidey comments all the time) makes me doubt myself. Thanks for the reality check (Polly Vernon, 13 Aug). @Tastycomms
Two cracking Polly Vernon reads in this week’s Grazia! From not doing what everyone else is doing, to her birthday message to Madonna. @Suzabird
THE PILLS DO WORK
‘ I Need Antidepressants, Not A Colouring Book’ (13 Aug) was totally on point. While I’ve been fortunate enough to have spent time with psychologists and counsellors over the years, antidepressants have had the single most positive impact on my health. We need to stop demonising them, particularly when for many people they a) work and b) are often the only affordable treatment available.
It makes us worried and doesn’t help anyone. Eleanor
MEGA MEGAN
Great interview with Megan from Love Island (20 August) – her views on self-confidence, body image and feminism are really interesting. The ‘contradiction’ of exuding confidence from every pore and yet holding certain insecurities makes her such a curious character. @Bethhopegault
Love this. I’m so sick of the media demonising women who admit to surgery/having imperfections. Yes we should celebrate and love ourselves, however every person as an individual should do it in a way which makes them feel best. @saffyaltmeyer The letter of the week wins products from Antipodes, worth £155.95.
