Miley & Kaitlynn’s romance is ‘unstoppable’
SINCE THE ANNOUNCEMENT of her split from Liam Hemsworth after just six months of marriage, Miley Cyrus has been inseparable from Kaitlynn Carter. Last week, the Wrecking Ball singer and the reality star were photographed on a lunch date with Miley’s mother, Tish Cyrus, in Los Angeles. Wearing matching white T-shirts and blue denim, Miley looked more happy than ever.
Miley, 26, and Kaitlynn, 30 – who recently split from her husband Brody Jenner, with whom she starred on The Hills – were first spotted together in mid-august, when they were pictured kissing on-board a boat on Lake Como, Italy. Now, Grazia has learned that their relationship has progressed so quickly that Miley has already moved her girlfriend into her new three-bedroom ‘bachelorette pad’ in Malibu, California.
‘Miley and Kaitlynn’s love for one another is unstoppable,’ a source close to the couple reveals. ‘Neither of them can believe how lucky they are to have found one another, and are in disbelief over how natural this connection feels. Miley has credited Kaitlynn with “saving” her amid this turbulent time in her life, and championing her true authentic self. She feels completely free to finally be the unfiltered version of herself.’
Miley vehemently denied reports that she had cheated on Liam, 29, despite first being seen with Kaitlynn just days after their separation was announced on 10 August. Acknowledging her drug use and partying, she tweeted, ‘I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating. Liam and I have been together for a decade. I’ve said it before and it remains true, I love Liam and always will.’
But with their divorce settlement expected to be finalised as early as next month – thanks to an iron-clad prenuptial agreement facilitating the process – insiders say that Miley is now fully focusing her attention on her future with Kaitlynn, and has the approval of both her mum Tish and dad, Billy Ray Cyrus.
‘Tish and Billy Ray have always been supportive of Miley’s choices, and Tish in particular feels that her romance with Kaitlynn is a positive outcome from the end of her marriage,’ said our source. ‘She sees that Miley is no longer holding herself back or making sacrifices.
‘Kaitlynn has been helping Miley organise her new home in Malibu, which is just a stone’s throw from the house that she shared with Liam – the one they lost to the wildfires in November last year. She’s been helping Miley heal, move on from the past, and at the same time they have found themselves falling deeply in love with one another.’
Yet some of Miley’s friends and members of Liam’s family feel that the singer has thrown herself into a rebound romance and is running from issues that she refused to work on in the marriage. ‘Not everyone is thrilled about Miley and Kaitlynn,’ says the source. ‘Mutual friends are worried about how Liam is coping with seeing their overt public displays of affection, and how it will affect their divorce proceedings. Liam’s family are particularly upset as they feel her behaviour has been disrespectful.
‘But Miley just doesn’t feel as though she can put aside her feelings for Kaitlynn and doesn’t want to wait for this special thing that they have. She wants them to start building a new life together. Miley is excited about having someone in her corner who brings out the best in her – and doesn’t hold back her independent spirit.’
