Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moisture, £4.99 Moist – a word I avoid except when waxing lyrical about this hair mask. Ah, the thick, comforting formula that softens strands on demand, the reliably calming scent, the fact it costs less than a fiver… A fiver! A classic for all the right reasons.

Wetbrush Original Detangler, £11.99 With fragile, super-fine strands made worse by bleaching, I’ve never loved brushing my hair, hating to lose a single strand. Then I tried the Wetbrush, and everything changed. ‘Intelliflex’ bristles gently glide through any knots without pulling or snapping. A mane-changer.

Mane ‘n Tail Shampoo and Conditioner, £5.99 each I’ve been lathering with these guys since before my teens – admittedly on my horse Daisy. But years later, when Mane ‘n Tail became a hit with humans, I tried them and was instantly hooked. They nourish hair without weighing strands down and smell amazing.

Revolution Skincare Blemish & Pore Refining Serum, £5.99 After having a mini meltdown over a recent outburst of under-skin blemishes, a fellow beauty journo introduced me to this wondrous product. It’s a silky, lightweight serum that sinks straight in and gets to work with a powerful combo of niacinamide and zinc to reduce redness and balance oil production. After just three days (using AM daily), my spots had completely faded away. It’s some sort of wizardry, I tell you.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Extreme Lipstick, £5.49 Rimmel lipsticks are some of the best in the business, so naturally I swiped on the new collection – which promised ‘extreme colour and comfort’ – as soon as they landed. With a tapered tip for easy application and satiny formula that doesn’t slip, they tick all my boxes and more.

Your Good Skin Cica Repair Sleep Paste, £12
Cica comes from tiger grass – a herb big cats roll in to help heal wounds. And no wonder. Slap it on like a face mask, leave for 10 minutes, pat in any excess and hit the hay. Come morning, revel in calmer, glowing skin.
