WHERE TO SHOP CHICLY Bandier is good for athletic wear
(bandier.com). Goop boutique on Bond Street has a great curated mix, from jewellery to skincare
(goop.com). And my new flagship store in the Meatpacking District!
FOR ONE-STOP FUN Hudson Yards is a new neighbourhood development where everything is in one place. Multi-label store The Conservatory, Sally Hershberger hair salon and the Shake Shack for burgers are all standouts for me. hudsonyardsnewyork.com
GROCERY GO-TOS Eataly is where I do a lot of my grocery shopping. They have great pasta, cheese and salami counters where you can also stop for a glass of wine (eataly.com). I also go to Elm Wellness for probiotics and coconut yogurt. elmdrugs.com
THE MUST-SEE MUSEUM
Whitney Museum of American Art is my favourite contemporary gallery to visit in downtown Manhattan. It’s special for its architecture by Renzo Piano and the collection is incredible. In the lobby is a piece by Glenn Ligon that says ‘America’ in neon lights. whitney.org
THE ROMANTIC RESTAURANT
Il Buco is a charming, cosy place for Italian food – it’s where I went on my first date with my husband. Make sure it’s the original in Noho, right between the Bowery and Broadway. ilbuco.com
WORKOUT, NY-STYLE
If you’re in New York for any length of time, exercise at Tracy Anderson in Tribeca. The beginners class on Saturday mornings is a really fun way to get the day started. tracyanderson.com
THE SPOT FOR SUSHI
This cute sushi counter is great for a fast, casual lunch. The quality of the fish is incredible and, instead of traditional rice, you can have cauliflower rice. bondisushi.com
THE CHAMPAGNE BAR
New, all-women owned and delicious, dark and sexy, The Riddler is a super-chic champagne and cocktail bar. Buy by the bottle or glass and snack on the free popcorn. theriddlerbar.com
FAVOURITE WALK
Fifth Avenue is the most wonderful walk on a clear, crisp day. Start in the Village and walk straight up to Central Park. As you pass through the city, you see all the neighbourhoods and a variety of stores. It’s the perfect meander.
