Your article If you are lonely right now, you are not alone (8 Feb) was a reminder that a lot of people are struggling. Alongside the sometimes severe or fatal physical consequences of Covid, there are the mental health implications. The true breadth of this silent pandemic is unclear. There are the impacts for those with pre-existing mental health problems, and new impacts – economic hardship, loneliness. Getting help is not easy. Zoom sessions are not the same as talking to professionals face to face. As the writer says, a support bubble is a necessity. If we know people are struggling, we need to be there for them. I visit my elderly neighbour four times a week to chat on the doorstep and phone her too. We need to all look out for each other. Stephanie

I was disappointed by Has Jemima broken ‘the girl code’ by moving in with Gillian’s ex?
(8 Feb). It seems sexist to suggest that two grown women must abide by some outdated idea of female friendship. I’m sure Gillian Anderson and Jemima Khan are above such playground politics. I have to wonder why Anderson is almost encouraged to be possessive over her ex yet, if the roles were reversed, Morgan

Wow, your sustainable fashion pages were just brilliant (25 Jan issue). Readable and informative. I was really interested about rentals as if my daughter ever gets married I plan to rent a classic Chanel box-jacket suit.
KINDNESS IS KEY
