Pathway round-up

-

ALL four teams were in action last weekend and it was goals galore!

The U20s kicked o… on Friday night with a 5-2 win over Vale of Leven. It could well have been more if the boys had not taken their foot of the gas in the second half.

Scorers: Barclay, Darroch, Beckley, Kelly, McCauley

Man of the Match: Tai Beckley THE U18s kept a clean sheet while knocking eight past Gi…nock. Even more pleasing was the fact that this was achieved on a pitch not ideal for the boys’ normal style of play

Scorers: Charteris 3, Lothian 2, English, O’Brian, Kinsella

Man of the Match: Ciaran Bonnar ALTHOUGH they did not win, the ever improving U17s came back from a three-goal deficit to draw 3-3 away to Parkmoor. A great indicator of the increasing confidence and belief the team have.

Scorers: Scobbie 2, MacPherson

Man of the Match: Logan Scobbie TOP scorers were the U16s who won 9-1 against Dumbarton. Jay Beckley had an outstanding match scoring four of the nine goals.

Scorers: Kane. Beckley 4, Dhother, MacSween 2, Greene

Man of the Match: Jay Beckley. THIS coming weekend sees both the U20s and U18s in cup semi-final action. The 20s are at Stirling on Friday night to play the University 20s in the semi-final of the Lowland Development League Challenge Cup. Stirling are top of their conference and will present a big challenge for the boys. It is a great achievement to reach the semi-final and if the Greenock lads play to their full capability there is no reason why they can’t reach the final.

The 18s have home advantage at Notre Dame on Saturday as they seek to overcome Glenvale in the P&J District League Challenge cup semi-final. The squad have reached this stage playing some intelligent, entertaining football and if they bring that to the game on Saturday, they will have a great chance of progressing.

The game kicks o… at 1pm so it would great to see a good turnout to support the boys.
