National honour for slimming expert Susan
A WEIGHT-LOSS Consultant who supports hundreds of people in Grimsby to lose weight is beaming with pride after being recognised for the exceptional work she does to support people in the area. Susan Walker was invited to a national event for Slimming World’s most successful Consultants – ‘Slimming World’s Gold and Pearl Day 2018’ – hosted at Slimming World’s national head office by the company’s senior directors.
The Derbyshire event was exclusive to just 100 of the organisation’s high-flying Consultants to celebrate the outstanding service they consistently provide to their members, supporting them to eat more healthily, get more active and build confidence – and ultimately achieve their weight-loss dreams.
Susan has been a Consultant for 18 years and lost over 5 stone as a member herself. The invite puts her in the top two per cent of the organisation’s 5,000 Slimming World Consultants across the UK, meaning Grimsby is home to some of the very best slimming support in the country.
All guests at the event were treated to a healthy lunch at Slimming World’s brand new head office extension and on-site restaurant, as well as hearing from the company’s senior Directors on key plans for next year, when Slimming World celebrates its 50th birthday year. Susan says: “To receive an invite to such a prestigious event felt very special, it’s so lovely to be recognised among the highest-achieving Consultants across the country and to know that my work in Grimsby is making a real difference. I have received this award 5 times now and it feels incredible to know my hard work is recognised.
“Helping people from Grimsby to achieve their dreams makes this the best job in the world and to be recognised nationally for doing something I absolutely love feels fantastic. As self-employed franchisees we are always treated so well by Slimming World, and to be invited to an event like Gold and Pearl Day was amazing – it really was the VIP treatment!
