DAUGHTER ‘SCOUT’ WELCOMED INTO THE WORLD WEIGHING 7LB 4OZ
KEELEY Donovan has proudly announced that she has welcomed her first child into the world.
The Grimsby-born weather presenter revealed that she gave birth to daughter Scout on Friday.
The baby girl was born just before 1am, weighing 7lb and 4oz. Keeley and her husband Johnny I’Anson said they were already so in love with their bundle of joy.
The BBC Look North presenter, who grew up in Tetney, gave birth in Leeds General Infirmary.
She shared pictures of the happy family today, with three-day-old Scout sound asleep and yawning wide. “On Friday our lives changed forever - our baby girl arrived,” she wrote on social media.
“Little Scout was born just before 1am weighing 7lbs 4oz. We are so in love with her already.
“A huge thanks to the amazing staff at the Lotus Suite and maternity ward at LGI who were amazing.” Congratulations have already come in from her many fans and colleagues. Keeley and Johnny, a BBC radio presenter, had fun with their pregnancy announcement, posing for a picture with colleagues Paul Hudson and Harry Gration with dummies in their mouths. At the start of the lockdown, pregnant women were told they should shield and as a result, former Humberston School and Franklin College student Keeley has been broadcasting from her lounge and spare room at home.
She has also kept a video diary to give viewers an insight into coping with pregnancy during lockdown. Speaking to the camera on the video diary, she said: “It’s not been as easy as it might have been during normal time. It has felt a little bit lonely.
“I got to have a face-to-face doctors appointment after 28 weeks of the pregnancy, but my husband couldn’t come in.” The diary showed Keeley coming out of her appointment and playing the baby’s heartbeat to Johnny, who said: “I feel like I’m missing out but safety is the priority.”
The couple tied the knot in 2018 in a festival-themed wedding at Castle Farm, near Knaresborough.
