Ignorant few are helping to bring our country down

-

IT is rather difficult to put into words the negative comments about the actions of this government and its leader Boris Johnson. When the Conservatives won the general election last December this country was sitting pretty, with good employment figures along with improvements in living standards.

So where did things start to go wrong to lead us to where the country is now?

Firstly, the matter of Brexit had to be sorted out, then protests over racism.

Which brings us to the covid-19 crisis. Now I am going to use the old chestnut of the last war.

At the start of the Second World War this country was on its own; it had been defeated in Europe, North Africa and eventually most of the Far East, although Dunkirk was a miracle, we were beaten at

Dieppe, and many other places, but at no time did you hear British people criticising the government, who by the way was ably led by the Labour party.

In the end we came through and won our way back.

So back to the present, Boris Johnson and his party have been landed with an enemy that can’t be seen, smelt or felt. Boris and his party have had to try to handle this virus off the “hoof”, and has been doing well up to the present. But owing to the whingers, the moaners and groaners who won’t obey the rules, Boris has become unpopular once again after having to partly shut parts of the country.

In 1940 it was the few that helped save this country, now it’s a different sort of ignorant few who are helping to bring it down.

PM Robinson, Stallingborough.
