“PSYCHIC” MARK PREDICTED A BIG LOTTERY PRIZE – BUT IT WAS EVEN BIGGER THAN HE EXPECTED

SELF-EMPLOYED builder Mark reckoned he knew he’d scooped a big win on People’s Postcode Lottery even before the full winning postcode had been revealed.

The father of four, who believes he has psychic abilities, wrote down on a piece of paper three amounts that he thought he’d win.

He said: “Two were low, but then I wrote down £178,201 and I just thought that figure was the one. The only other person I showed this to was my son.

“I’ve been doing mediumship as a hobby – and I wasn’t far away.”

Mark, from Healey Grove in York, actually won £179,757… times two, as he was playing with two tickets!

He said: “I’ve never won anything in my life. I go to work every day and look after my family.

“This lottery win will mean my wife can retire and I’ll be able to help each of the children put down a deposit on a house, because they are all renting at the moment.”

Neighbour and childminder Donna planned to quit her job after scooping her £179,757 win.

“I never dared to dream before, but I can dream now,” she said. “I’m going to use this to help me change career so I can do something I really love.

“There’s no more wiping bums or noses for me. The world’s my oyster now.”

Mum of two Donna, who also has five grandchildren, also planned to use the windfall to buy the home that she’s been renting for 19 years – and deck it out with a hot tub.

After getting her cheque she grinned: “I’m euphoric. This cheque is getting framed and going in the garden so I can admire it from my hot tub!

“The kids and I are set up for life now.” Another winner, carer Michelle, also reckoned now might be the time to buy her home and, perhaps, work less. “At the moment I’m doing two jobs and working 12 days straight sometimes,” she said. “It’d be nice not to have to work that much.

“I’ve got two grandchildren and one on the way, so I’ll be able to help the kids out. This is a massive amount that I could never have dreamed of winning.”
