STARBUCKS is set to open its latest coffee shop and drive-thru after work was delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The new Starbucks Drive Thru opens on Bolingbroke Road, Louth, this morning.

Operated by Starbucks licensee, EG Group, the opening has created 11 new jobs in the area. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 8am and vouchers handed out in the Louth area, offering a complimentary Starbucks tallandcraftedbeverage.

The new store was scheduled to open in July but Covid lockdown restrictions delayed the construction.

The new Starbucks shares an access with the p planned new McDonald’s restaurant and drive thru, which was also due to open in July.

But delays in supply of the pre-fabricated units mean it is not due to be completed until the New Year. Access to Starbucks will be off Lincoln Way on the Fairfield Industrial Estate, off the A16, next to the Shell garage and Spar shop.

Like all Starbucks, customers who sit in will also be able to access free wi-fi.

Rob Todorov, Starbucks brand manager at Euro Garages, said: “We are so excited to open our new store in Louth and the team are closely following guidance from both Government and health authorities to keep everyone safe instore. We can’t wait to start welcoming new faces over the next few weeks.” The new drive thru will be open from 6.30am until 8pm Monday to Saturday, and 7am until 8pm p on Sundays. y
