TOWN BOSS EYES ONE MORE DEAL

GRIMSBY Town boss Ian Holloway is still on the lookout for more firepower.

The Mariners have until 5pm today to complete their business, and Holloway will be among those managers looking to grab a last minute bargain.

The Town boss had previously indicated that his business in the window was done, having made 14 new signings over the past few months.

But, having seen his side fail to hit the target in their opening three league games before eventually breaking their duck in the 3-1 win over Cheltenham on Tuesday, Holloway is eager to add some more goals to his side. “I wouldn’t mind another forward,” Holloway told the Grimsby Telegraph.

“I wouldn’t mind another goalscorer if I can find one to put pressure on all the other goalscorers, because they aren’t scoring enough goals at the moment.

“We’ve only scored in one game, we haven’t scored in the others and we should have. How many chances did we have in those games, and we should have scored.

“I wouldn’t mind another one, whether I’ll get one or not, who knows.”

As for outgoings, the Town boss has said none of his other players will be joining Jock Curran, Cameron Painter, Joey Hope and Alhagi Touray Sisay out on loan. With the domestic window still open following the closure of the international window, the Mariners will be free to do business with any of their EFL counterparts or any side in the Premier League.

Having already signed six players on loan, Town are already limited to how many they can name in any given matchday squad, with only a maximum of five allowed.
