NEW CBBC SHOW IS FANG- TASTIC FUN FOR FANS OF VAMPIRE TALES

-

IN 1898 a prophecy is issued to the five remaining vampire clans of Europe – they must unite or they face extinction. This new 13-part series for CBBC, Heirs of the Night, follows the clans on their journey, as they undergo crucial training to secure their survival.

In the new drama which launches just before Halloween, we are told how every bloodborn clan was created by Dracula who gave each a ruby, with every stone holding a specific power such as mind reading, controlling the weather or talking to animals. Living in different parts of Europe the clans have been fighting each other for decades, but their heirs are brought together on the legendary sailing ship, The Elisabetha, to attend a newly-created vampire school.

They must join forces and work together in order to learn each other’s unique powers and become stronger than ever.

And as they become classmates in vampire school, they must also navigate the social and the emotional dynamics teens face.

In the first episode, 14-year-old Alisa (played by Anastasia Martin) of Clan Vamalia, battles with a unique power. She discovers she carries a magic light – the ‘Spark’. But what is this special power and why did it choose her?

Their first week is eventful as Alisa meets the other Heirs and struggles to make friends as she has a secret to hide, while classmates Lars and Malcolm skip class and get into a holy load of trouble.

Heirs of the Night airs nightly from Monday, October 26, to Friday, October 30 at 5pm on CBBC and BBC iPlayer, then continues each Wednesday on CBBC, and on BBC iPlayer.
