Artist on hunt to find couple she sketched looking out to Humber

-

A CHALET owner is searching for the couple who caught her artistic eye on Cleethorpes beach.

Sarah Palmer photographed a couple in bright anoraks eating their sandwiches while sat on a bench looking out to the Humber in August.

She then sketched the image and a number of prints of the couple have been sold through her art business.

She now wants to track the couple down so she can present them with a copy and let them know their image is in homes across the area. Sarah said: “On one hot day in August, I was walking over the cliffs at the back of the Humberston Fitties, where I have a chalet, when I spotted a couple sitting on a bench. “They were companionably eating their lunch while looking out to sea. Something about their matching brightly colour anoraks and white sun hats caught my attention. “So I photographed them and drew them in my sketchbook when I got home. “I’ve since sold a few prints of this couple through my small art business - The House With the Blue Door.” Sarah wants to present the couple with a print of themselves - but needs your help in tracking them down.

She added: “On the same day I also drew a picture of the Berties Ice cream van by the beach, and managed to unite the lady who drives the van with my drawing.

“It would be nice to do the same with this couple.”
