DETAILS have been released following the tragic death of a woman found in Heneage Road, Grimsby. A passerby tried to resuscitate the woman who was found in a driveway of one of the homes on Heneage Road, between Eleanor Street and Pasture Street.

It was cordoned off by police as a large-scale emergency services response got underway at around 8am on Tuesday just as many families were taking children to schools in the area. It included the Lincs & Notts air ambulance which landed in the playing field of St Mary’s Catholic Primary School on Wellington Street.

Humberside Police said they are not treating the death as suspicious. A spokeswoman said: “The sad death of the lady in Heneage Road is not believed to be suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.”

It was the second tragic death of a woman after another woman was found dead in a bedsit on Cleethorpe Road on Sunday at around 3pm. On Heneage Road the police cor

don was maintained for several hours. The road block was in place to secure access for emergency response staff which included two ambulance crews, two fast response paramedic vehicles and the air ambulance which landed at the

school playing field.

This quiet stretch of road is home to a number of semi-detached properties alongside a small complex of flats and the Rock Foundation building where the charitable organisation has its Grimsby base.

Those attending the Foundation were met by a police cordon and had to request access, similarly many residents were escorted to and from their properties in the early hours of the investigation by Humberside Police.
