Crafty: Today At Apple

MAKE YOUR OWN CHRISTMAS

TODAY At Apple – the iPhone maker’s celebrated programme of hands-on creative workshops – obviously hit the buffers back in March and had to go online with a small series of how-to videos made at home.

Now a much more ambitious collection of workshops has been launched as the festive season approaches – and anyone with an iPad or iPhone is welcome at Make Your Holiday.

The new programme features a downloadable workbook and online video sessions, with the aim of inspiring you to create your own one-of-a-kind gifts.

The easy projects are all things you can do together as a family, and there are free virtual sessions with tips and ideas online every week. You can get involved at apple.com/uk/today

STOP TOUCHING YOUR FACE…

APPARENTLY we touch our faces on average once every three minutes. This, in the time of Coronavirus, is officially a Very Bad Thing. The touching of the face with hands contaminated by the virus is likely one of the primary ways the virus gets into our systems.

Enter, then, the Nudge – a device that can tell when you’re about to touch your face and help you break the habit. The Nudge is a wristband that can detect all kinds of different movements and buzzes you when you make one you shouldn’t. So while it can help you stop touching your face, it can also give you a nudge to remind you not to bite your nails or pull your hair, among a whole range of other habits you might want to kick.

Nudge is available from nudgeband.co.uk for £49.99.
