GRIMSBY’S singing star Ella Henderson has been dreaming of a Christmas gift for those most in need.

From her stylish bathroom, she has joined the WaterAid campaign to get clean water for millions of poor people in The Third World.

Ella appears on a video singing four songs with contributions also from Jamie Cullum, Rag ’n’ Bone Man and other well know performers.

The Bathroom Sessions appeal to people to donate money for the charity’s appeal, Future on Tap.

It aims to raise £3 million to help transform the lives of people across the world.

The UK Government has pledged to match donations before February 4 up to £2million.

ten people – do not have access to clean water, and erratic and extreme weather brought on by climate change is making it much harder for people in the poorest places to access this basic human right.

In Ethiopia, nearly two-thirds of the population live without clean water. With this basic resource, people can stay healthy, protect their livelihoods, and build a better future for themselves.

Ella, who rose to fame as a teenager, on X-Factor in 2012, hails from Tetney and has toured the world with her performances.

She said: “It is a weird time to release music. It is a weird time for everyone. It is important we all take care of one another.”

She added: “I’m really pleased to support WaterAid’s Bathroom Sessions, raising awareness of the millions of people without clean water and decent toilets.

“It’s so easy to take this basic human right for granted but so many women and girls have no choice but to walk for hours each day to collect dirty water for cooking, cleaning, and drinking. This simply isn’t right. Future on Tap will help get clean water to thousands of people in the poorest places, so I’m proud to be part of it.”

On the video she sings “Take Care of You” written by Rauri Cantelo, “This is Real” compiled with Jax Jones and “Dream on Me” which she created with Roger Sanchez.
