MEET the youngest star in Grimsby who is now the face of Aldi’s new ew nappy collection. Sleepy head, Arthur Falkingkingham knew nothing of his startardom as he was fast asleep ep when he was photographed d for the new range of Aldi’s s Mamia nappy. Aldi selected 12 babyfaced winners to grace the packs of the UK’s best-selling g own-brand nappies, which ch will be available in Aldi stores ores this month. The firm invited staff to bring their babies along to a photo o shoot. Lana Blow took five-week old Arthur to Stockport in January where h he promptly tl f fell ll asleep in the arms of one of the models.

But it captured a blissful moment and the marketing bosses were impressed with Arthur’s fine head of hair.

Each child featured on the new packs is the lucky winner of the supermarket’s internal Next Top Baby competition. For his star appearance, Arthur received a year’s supply of Mamia nappies.

He was chosen out of hundreds of entries. Lana has worked at Aldi for one-and-a-half years and was sure Arthur had star potential. “Arthur is just so cheeky and loves posing,” said Lana.

“Plus he loves rolling around in his comfy Mamia nappy. They’ve never let me down. I couldn’t help but think he would be perfect as a model so when the Mamia competition was announced I couldn’t help but put him forward,” she added.

Lana also cares for her other two children Ellie, three and Oscar, six when she is not at work at Aldi’s Cambridge road store.

She said she was glad she was able to travel to the photo shoot by train before the March lockdown.

She added: “I have used Mamia for all three of my children. They are good quality and have worked best for me. It was gre great to get a year’s supply. But now he is one on we are down to our last packet.

Lana said Arthur enjoys his musical to toys and is learning to stand on his own two feet with the he help of the furniture, her and hi his Craig.

“He loves his tickles and watching Masha Bear. He doesn’t get much choice of what to watch with having to older ones.”

Lane said: “It will be a bit biza bizarre when shoppers are buying t the nappy from me at the checko checkout and I will tell them he is my boy. Some S will spot that it isn’t me in the photo w with him so I will say she was a model.” d l”

The Mamia nappy range is award-winning, having previously won Gold in the Mother & Baby Awards 2019 in the ‘Best Performance Disposable Nappy’ category. Aldi’s Mamia Ultra-Dry Nappies were awarded a prestigious Which? Best Buy in November 2020, with a brilliant score of 95 per cent. Mamia Ultra-Dry Air System Nappy Size 4+ (£2.89 for 44) also won Silver in the Made for Mums Awards 2020 Baby Nappies sizes 3 and 4 category.
