OUTSTANDING SCHOOLS IN OUR AREA RATED BY OFSTED
TEN ACHIEVE HIGHEST POSSIBLE RATING
THERE are currently ten schools in North East Lincolnshire that have achieved the highest possible rating of ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.
The Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills is responsible for inspecting a range of educational institutions, including state schools and some independent ones.
Ofsted inspectors are appointed by the Queen herself (they’re known as Her Majesty’s Inspectors) and are responsible for judging the quality of each school they visit and putting together a report detailing their rating. Most schools are inspected around every four years but can be more often if a school requires improvement.
All schools are rated from 1 to 4, they’re either Outstanding (1), Good (2), Requires Improvement (3) or Inadequate (4).
