Fans have their say after victory

GRIMSBY Town fans have renewed hope after Paul Hurst’s side gave themselves a lifeline in their battle against relegation.

The Mariners did exactly what they had to do as they beat rivals Barrow 1-0 at Holker Street to narrow the gap to the Bluebirds to seven points.

Luke Spokes’ spectacular strike 20 minutes from time wrapped up the points, with Town holding out against some intense pressure from the hosts late on as they claimed their first win in eight games, and extended their unbeaten run to five in the process. There’s still a lot of work for the Mariners to do, but the win at Barrow has certainly given Town fans some hope to cling on to - here’s a selection of their reactions to Tuesday night’s result from Twitter...
