Your favourite restaurants reopening from May 17

CUSTOMERS WILL HAVE TO ORDER, EAT AND DRINK WHILE SEATED

-

THERE are so many restaurants and cafes we can’t wait to get back to when lockdown restrictions lift on May 17.

Many of our area’s best loved eateries are currently closed due to not having adequate outdoor space for open-air dining or if a takeaway service is unviable for the business. From May 17 indoor hospitality will return, continuing to follow Covid-19 safe guidelines and with a rule of six still in place limiting the number of people you can mix with.

As with the current rules for outdoor dining, venues will not have to serve a substantial meal with alcoholic drinks and there won’t be a curfew but customers will have to order, eat and drink while seated. Below are a few of your favourites that have confirmed they will be opening next month.

ABBYS BISTRO, GRIMSBY

They said: “Thanks to our unfortunate hiatus, we have been able to develop an exciting new menu! This includes some completely new dishes whilst also keeping our most beloved items.

The Trawlerman.

“We’re definitely the most excited about the teriyaki chicken. Serving times; breakfast 10-11.30am, lunch 12-4pm, evening menu 5pm-late. “Tapas menu is only available Friday and Saturday from 5pm. Subject to government regulations, you’ll be able to try out our new menu from May 17!”

Bookings are being taken now.

TREDICI WOOD FIRED PIZZZA, GRIMSBY

They said: “Our restaurant will reopen from Monday, May 17, in line with government guidelines bookings are now being taken. “But don’t worry you can still enjoy Tredici pizzas in the comfort of your own home by taking advantage of our collection service. “Please remember to reserve your collection slot in advance. Text 07758 459332 or direct message is via our Facebook page.”

MILLER & CARTER, GRIMSBY

They said they have had several enquiries over the past few days from eager Steak Fans wanting to book for alfresco dining but they are not planning on reopening for outdoor dining.

They said: “Rest assured though, our dedicated Steak Geeks here at Grimsby are brushing up on their steak knowledge as we speak ready to welcome you all back on 17 May!

“We look forward to reopening our doors and taking care of you all once again.”

THE RANCH STEAKHOUSE & GRILL, LOUTH

They said: “Our restaurant reopens Tuesday, May 18, subject to government changes and laws and you’ll be able to book from May 4. “The drinks, food and service you know and love will soon return. It’s almost time to catch up with friends and family, celebrate belated birthdays and enjoy a much-needed date night.

“We’ll have more information in the comings weeks on our Facebook page and website including what time the booking system goes live. “For now, our takeaway service resumes Wednesday-Saturday. All information can be seen on our website”

THE TRAWLERMAN, CLEETHORPES

Manager Ashley Phillips said: “We are absolutely planning on having the inside open on May 17, obviously depending on the government guidance.

“We’ve got the outside open at the moment and we can’t wait to be able to offer people the chance to be inside if they want as well.

“I think we’ve been quite lucky with the weather so far but if it turns a bit cooler it’ll be great to get those inside areas open again.”

PETIT DELIGHT, CLEETHORPES

The staff at Petit Delight are taking a well earned break and will be opening their outdoor area for the first time today.

They said: “As you all know, we

Relish Bar and Kitchen. have a large garden we can use from April 12. However, we have decided to wait and open this on May 12. “This decision has been made so we can give back to all the staff who have again, worked so hard and tirelessly through lockdown to deliver our takeaway service.

“We have also been busy during this time building a new brand with Corks Twenty Eight, as well as the successful launch of Baozi.”
