A DYING dog was found dumped in Bradley Woods with two fractured legs which had become infected with gangrene.

The RSPCA is investigating the cruelty to the Cockapoo-type dog, who was only one-years-old.

He was found by a member of the public on the morning of Sunday November, 7 in the car park of Bradley Woods, Grimsby.

The poor dog had collapsed and was found in a grassed area of the woods, unable to move so the member of the public rushed her to a nearby vets.

Sadly the vet found a flat open fracture of her left leg and also a closed fracture of the right leg.

Both of her legs had become infected with gangrene and she had sepsis which left the injuries untreatable.

The vet made the difficult decision to put the dog to sleep to end her suffering.

RSPCA inspector Alice Wilson is now investigating to find the person responsible for dumping the dog when it needed medical care and love.

She said: “This poor dog was in such an awful suffering state.

“Due to her injuries she was obviously unable to move so it is clear to me that someone has dumped her in this area like a piece of rubbish.

“She was in pain and would have been terrified - so I want to find the person responsible for this callous act.”

Alice is keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area on Saturday evening or Sunday morning (6/7 Nov), or who may have spotted anything on CCTV in the area or have any dash cam footage.

Anyone with information should contact the RSPCA appeals line number on 0300 123 8018.
