The bank has announced plans to shut another 28 branches. The move comes eight weeks after it revealed it was closing 60. The banking giant is closing 20 Lloyds branches and eight Halifax from August to November.
FAKE GRASS
The Chelsea Flower Show has banned fake plastic grass from this year’s event. The ban has been imposed by the Royal Horticultural Society, which runs the show, because green campaigners say it is bad for wildlife.

The Tory MP was branded “out of touch” and “tone deaf” after suggesting families battling the cost-of-living crisis should work harder. In an interview with Sky News, the Home Office Minister said: “We need to make sure that people are able to protect themselves better, whether that is by taking on more hours or moving to a better-paid job.”
