The bank has announced plans to shut another 28 branches. The move comes eight weeks after it revealed it was closing 60. The banking giant is closing 20 Lloyds branches and eight Halifax from August to November.

FAKE GRASS

The Chelsea Flower Show has banned fake plastic grass from this year’s event. The ban has been imposed by the Royal Horticultu­ral Society, which runs the show, because green campaigner­s say it is bad for wildlife.
