Stacey Solomon’s kids clothes now in Primark

NEW CELEBRITY

SHE’S probably one of the most popular celebrity mums of the moment.

And it’s easy to see why people love Stacey Solomon.

She’s down to earth, hilarious and seems to have a heart of gold.

With three boys and a little girl, the Loose Women presenter and major Instagram influencer has plenty of experience dressing kids - and her little ones do always look adorable.

So what better way to put her experience to good use than by bringing out her own budget-friendly range at Primark?

The summer collection, which caters for babies and kids up to the age of 15, also includes kids’ cutlery and other “mealtime must-haves” for little ones.

I went along to Primark to see what was on offer from her collection there.

At a glance it’s all very easy on the eye and full of gorgeous pastels and floral prints.

And it’s all well in-keeping with Primark’s regular prices which, at a time when we’re all watching our pennies, is a bonus.

WHAT DID I GET?

I’ve got a two-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl so I went along to look for some clothes for them for the summer.

■ Stacey Kids mint green terry towelling T-shirt and shorts set, £9

■ Stacey Kids orange floral print sleeveless playsuit, £9

■ Stacey Baby floral print pink shirt and shorts set, £9

■ Stacey Kids blue shorts, £7

■ Stacey Kids sweatshirt, £9

HOW WOULD I RATE THE COLLECTION?

Stacey recently revealed how her children had chosen the colours, fabrics and styles for some of the designs, with her son Leighton drawing inspiration from The Goonies.

When announcing the launch of the range to her 5.2million followers on Instagram the star said: “Pinch me. I can’t even describe how surreal it feels to say that Primark has asked me to make another collection for children.

“Never in a million years dreamed a shop I’ve shopped in my whole life would ever ask me to create something so special let alone do it again. And that’s all thanks to YOU!”

As I said earlier, I think the colours and designs of the clothes are lovely - very Instagrammable.

My only thought, was that there wasn’t an awful lot of choice for boys.

I know in this day and age boys and girls can wear what they like, but I just don’t think my son pulls off a pink flowery two-piece.

Maybe if he was going to a beach wedding.

I did however really like him in the shorts and sweatshirt.

And the green towelling tee and shorts are sweet and would be great for a day at the beach or the park.

I’m assuming Stacey has gone for a gender neutral theme, but in my opinion it doesn’t always quite work.

The only shoes in the range are a pair of really cute high-top style trainers, but again, they’re pretty girly in my opinion.

Overall, I’d say it was a beautiful collection - just lacking a bit in choice for boys.
