MYDENTIST has opened its doors in Grimsby town centre. The UK’s largest dentistry provider has brought its orthodontic practice to Palace Court on Victoria Street.

It will offer essential NHS orthodontic care to children referred by their dentist, as well as a wide range of private teeth straightening treatments to teens and adults.

Almost £400,000 has been invested, with eight new jobs created for dental nurses and reception staff.

Practice manager Rachel Evans cut the ribbon to mark the occasion.

She said: “Our team has worked hard to create a vibrant and modern dental practice and it has been great to see the reaction from patients.

“Teeth straightening has never been so popular and we offer a full range of services for people who want to change their smile.”

Treatments available at the new practice include traditional braces as well as invisible, clear aligner teeth straightening treatments such as Invisalign.

It will offer four state-of-the-art surgeries, evening and weekend appointments.

Michelle Shambrook, director of orthodontics at MyDentist, said: “We are delighted to have won a new NHS orthodontic contract enabling us to provide essential orthodontic treatment in Grimsby.

“In our new state-of-the-art practice we will be able to offer both NHS treatment to children with a referral from a dentist, as well as a wide range of private orthodontic treatment to teens and adults with immediate appointments available.”

The team said that parents of children waiting for NHS orthodontic treatment in the Grimsby area will be contacted directly by the team to arrange appointments.

A deal was done for the awardwinning regenerated former theatre bar in January, after the previous tenant, retailer Bathstore, collapsed in 2019.

MyDentist is part of Manchester-headquartered IDH Group.
