Phillip Norton: Such awfully sad news. Ian was my dentist since I was a small child, and a part of all my family’s life over the years. In my first job at Pizza Hut in Grimsby, he would come in for meals or takeaway, and never accept any change from me - even if it was a substantial amount. ‘That’s for you’ he’d quietly say. I’ve never forgotten those moments. A kind, gentle man, and my thoughts and condolences go out to all of his family.

Tim Hubbard: Ian wasn’t my dentist but I remember him well from the practice as my girlfriend was a dental nurse there (before she married my dentist, his brother Keith). I know he married her friend, also a dental nurse there, Lynne, not long afterwards too, so condolences to all the family. RIP Linda Drinkell: Was my dentist for a lot of years. Such a lovely man. RIP Mr Burrell. He always made you smile. Great sense of humour. Laura Parkinson: Sending my heartfelt condolences to Ian’s family. Such sad sad news. Rowena Lakin: RIP Mr Burrell.
