Cricket club’s plans put off

Pro­pos­als to build a new cricket club in Brig­house have been put on hold. A plan­ning ap­pli­ca­tion to change the use of the land to the rear of Wood­house Gar­dens, Brig­house was with­drawn from the meet­ing of Calderdale Coun­cil’s plan­ning com­mit­tee on Tues­day even­ing. The pro­pos­als, put for­ward by the Au­gus­tini­ans Cricket Club, would see the the land be­come the new site of a cricket club. It would also see the for­ma­tion of a car park, as well as ac­cess and sit­ting of ten stor­age con­tain­ers. The ap­pli­ca­tion was with­drawn fol­low­ing late rep­re­sen­ta­tion act­ing on be­half of ob­jec­tors to the pro­pos­als, rais­ing is­sues which needed fur­ther con­sid­er­a­tion.
