Cricket club’s plans put off
Proposals to build a new cricket club in Brighouse have been put on hold. A planning application to change the use of the land to the rear of Woodhouse Gardens, Brighouse was withdrawn from the meeting of Calderdale Council’s planning committee on Tuesday evening. The proposals, put forward by the Augustinians Cricket Club, would see the the land become the new site of a cricket club. It would also see the formation of a car park, as well as access and sitting of ten storage containers. The application was withdrawn following late representation acting on behalf of objectors to the proposals, raising issues which needed further consideration.
