Dogs party in the park with the RSPCA

- By Cassie Irving

The search is on for top dogs with talent at the RSPCA K9 Party in the Park 2015. Dogs of all shapes and sizes, young and old, are invited to join in the fun which takes place from noon to 5pm on Sunday, July 5 at Manor Heath Park, Halifax.

There are 25 classes in the fun dog show to choose from and the judges will have the tough task of selecting the winners.

Entries are taken on the day from 11.30am at £1.50 per class with rosettes and prizes for the winners.

All first prize winners will be eligible to compete in the best in show.

Trustee, Kath Airey, said:“We are especially looking forward to seeing many of the dogs previously rehomed by the RSPCA in a special class. Over the years we have rehomed thousands of dogs so we’d like to see as many of them as possible at this year’s event.”

A parade of dogs in need of new homes will be held at around 1pm with a further parade of rehomed dogs with their new owners at 2pm.

Admission to the park is free but donations are welcome. For further details visit www.rspca-halifaxandhuddersfield.org.uk
