Have you got what it takes to be our Runway 2016 winner?
There’s still time to enter our brilliant competition for aspiring models - Runway 2016 - which is now in its fourth year. Nineteen- year- old undergraduate Chloe Lockley-Middleton was a popular winner last year following in the footsteps of Isla Rowe in 2013 and Dita Krona the following year. The 2015 event was a resounding success, watched by an audience of approaching 100 at a special catwalk show at Harveys Department store in Halifax. Now along with our eventpartners Harveys and Morton Gledhill- The Fashion Team we are seeking entrants to this year’s competition.
There are fabulous prizes for the winner including a £250 voucher to spend at Harveys plus a goody bag, a fashion shoot with a Courier photographer to help start an all-important portfolio and an introduction to model- ling course with co-sponsor Morton Gledhill - The FashionTeam, the Huddersfield based model agency. Bernadette Gledhill, managing director of Morton Gledhill, said: “All the girls who won have done brilliantly. This really is a wonderful opportunity for young women who would like to see if they have what it takes to be a model.” The finale will be part of Harveys’ Spring and Summer fashion launch. Tony Murray, general manager at Harveys, added: “I think the competition and our annual fashion event complement one another perfectly.” lThe competition is open to girls who are aged 15 or upward at the time of entry. lYou must be at least 5ft 7in tall. lIf you think you have what it takes to become a model, submit one head shot with minimal makeup and one full length photograph (100kb or larger) by February 26 to tim.worsnop@halifaxcourier. co.uk (please note these do not have to be by a professional photographer, snapshots are fine). lPlease also supply your name, age, a daytime telephone number and head the email Runway 2016. We will contact you once the closing date has passed.
