CALDERDALE BUSINESSES and fundraisers have been praised at this year’s annual Yorkshire Air Ambulance Recognition Awards.

The awards celebrated the Yorkshire businesses and fundraisers from across the region, who have dedicated their time to raise money for the charity.

The Community Group Award went to Brodstock Music Festival Committee, the award winning local family music festival in Hipperholme.

The festival is run entirely by a small team of dedicated volunteers and is a firm favourite for residents.

Their club Old Bodleians has also been a fantastic supporter of the charity since early 2012 and a very dedicated partner for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, having raised just shy of £35,000 to date.

ADD Express in Elland won one of three Corporate Supporter Awards at the event.

The firm has been offering storage solutions for the charity’s merchandise, products and event equipment for a number of years now.

Their support allows bulk merchandise and products to be delivered safely to their warehouse and stored securely.

A vitally crucial support mechanism for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, the judges thought it was only right ADD Express got the recognition they deserved.

Kerry Dwyer, South and West Yorkshire director of fundraising, said: “We are delighted to be able to recognise some of the fundraising successes across our region and give back to the people who have worked tirelessly to support the Yorkshire Air Ambulance over the years.

“Thank you to everyone who has contributed towards keeping both of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s flying over Yorkshire.

“Your support has greatly appreciated.”
