Crafty Ladies
The crafty Ladies meet once a fortnight in the Northowram Hub on a Monday from 4-6pm. The next meeting is on Monday, November 25. The Ladies enjoy all crafts, group projects, fundraise, have speakers and demonstrations and enjoy crafty trips. All ladies interested in crafts are invited to come along to the meetings.
Halifax Photographic Society
The Halifax Photographic Society hold their weekly meetings on a Tuesday evening at 7.30pm at Northowram Methodist Church. At the latest meeting President Phil Watson welcomed 29 members.
The members spent the first part of the evening looking at members’ images to go forward into round two of the ICCG competition. Round two will take place on November 16 at Huddersfield and rounds three and four will take place in the new year. The Photographic
Northowram Methodist Church are holding their Christmas
Fair on Saturday, November 30 from 9.30am-noon. Children are invited to come and see Santa in his Grotto. There will be Christmas stalls, raffle and games. Bacon sandwiches, hot and cold drinks and mince pies will be on sale. Admission is free to the Christmas fair and £5 for children to see Father Christmas.
The adult craft club will meet on Monday, November 25 in the coffee lounge. People are invited to come along and be crafty either to bring their own craft project or they can try their hand at card making, felting or knitting. £2 per session, to include tea and biscuits.
The flower club will meet on Thursday, November 28 at 9.30am in the coffee lounge. Following a demonstration of flower arranging there will be an opportunity for people to make their own arrangement. Experienced flower arrangers will be on hand to give advice and support.
There is a whist drive on the first Saturday in the month at 7pm. Experienced players and those wishing to learn most welcome.
The keep fit club meet every Thursday afternoon at 2pm.
