When asked what he’d like to see his side do differently from that defeat at Yeovil, Wild said: “I want to see us implement my plan for 90 minutes, I want to see us do things properly.

“I want to see us be relentless, ruthless and I want to see more players step up to the mark instead of four or five carrying them, like they seem to be doing every week at the moment.”

On Town’s run of one win in 10 outings, Wild said: “I think you take everything as a collective.

Yes we need to pick up some points, yes we need some wins, but they’ll come.

“It’s not as though we’re (playing) horrible at the moment. We’ll get there, and I’m quite confident we’ll get there over Christmas.”

Halifax won the FA Trophy in 2016, and Wild is optimistic his side is capable of a good run in the competition.

“I’d like to think so. It’s a trophy I want to do well in, it’s a trophy the club’s got recent history in, and Iwanttomakesurewe progress.”

National League strugglers Wrexham, who beat Halifax 1-0 at The Racecourse Ground in the league in August, had gone six games without a win before registering back-toback victories over Eastleigh and Solihull Moors.

“They’re not struggling. If you watch Wrexham, they’ve picked up two results now,” said Wild.

“I seem to watch them quite a bit – they’re a good team and they will give us a right game. It should be a good game.”

The match will be played to a conclusion on the day. Ticket prices are £12 for adults, £5 for 12-17 year olds and £1 for under 12s.
