The next meeting of the Shibden W.I. will be on Wednesday January 8 at Northowram Methodist Church at 7.30pm. when Lee Daley will speak on “generic scams and on line security”.
CRAFTY LADIES
The crafty Ladies meet once a fortnight in the Northowram Hub on a Monday from 4pm6pm .Their projects for Spring 2020 as a group are making felt hares and an embroidered frieze of the “Tree of Life” which will be exhibited at Northowram Library. The group are having a trip to Stratford-Upon-Avon in March combined with a visit to a craft event in Birmingham.
The next meeting is on Monday January 6.
HALIFAX PHOTGRAPHIC SOCIETY
The Halifax Photographic Society hold their weekly meetings on a Tuesday evening at 7.30 p.m. at Northowram Methodist Church.
The first meeting of 2020 will be on Tuesday January 7 when the club will present “A Critical Eye” and look at Pre Yorkshire Photographic Union ( Y.P.U.) submissions.
NORTHOWRAM SINGERS
The Singers meet every Tuesday afternoon (during term time) at 2pm. at St. Matthew’s
Church. The Singers will resume their rehearsals on Tuesday January 7.
HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The Northowram Historical Society’s research group meet at Heywood United Reformed Church on a Wednesday evening. At 7.30pm. The first meeting date after Christmas is Wednesday January 8. There is a £3 charge that covers the room and refreshments.

A new itinerary is now published on the website which commences in 2020 with an illustrated talk by Robert Hamilton on Thursday January 16 at 7.30pm. The talk is titled “Mrs Harry Humphries, The lady Globetrotter”.
NORTHOWRAM METHODIST CHURCH
The Salvation Army led the annual carol service at Northowram Methodist
Church. Band Master Colin welcomed a most enthusiastic audience and invited them to join in the well known carols, which they did with gusto! The January meeting of the Ladies’ Guild will be on Wednesday January 8 at 2pm in the coffee lounge. This will be the New Year party.
