‘Outstanding’ verdict for beauty college
AHuddersfield beauty college is celebrating after being rated as among the highest performing in the country by inspectors from Ofsted.
The glowing Ofsted report graded White Rose Beauty Colleges as ‘Outstanding’ and heaped praise across key areas, including the high quality of its teaching and impressive outcomes for students. The Yorkshire-based college has a Huddersfield base in George Street where students learn a range of specialisms, including beauty therapy, sports massage, hair and media make-up.
White Rose Beauty Colleges principal, Karen Lee Cooke said she is “delighted”to receive the Ofsted “Outstanding” grade.
“This is a true testament to the incredible hard work and commitment of all our staff and the dedication and amazing achievements of our learners.”
The ‘Outstanding’ award comes as the college prepares to enrol its next intake of students for its January and April courses. The Ofsted inspection gave top marks to the College in five key areas: overall effectiveness, effectiveness of leadership and management, quality of teaching, learning and assessment, personal development, behaviour and welfare, and positive outcomes for learners.
It highlighted that a “very high” high proportion of learners are said to go on to work in the sector or continue with their education, and singled out staff for developing training programmes that meets local and national demands.
There was also praise for tutors’ extensive industry experience and strong links with local and regional employers which ensures students have skills required to meet the everchanging demands of the beauty and therapy sector.
White Rose Beauty Colleges was established in 1996 and has grown to become the largest and most prestigious beauty therapy training provider in the UK, with impressive links to employers and high ratings from industry bodies.
Students learn in small study groups from experienced tutors whose impressive links with local employers provides excellent career opportunities.
