ROADWORKS

Commuters in Halifax face 10 weeks of delays as improvements are made to the gas distribution network in the Dean Clough area.

Northern Gas already have three main routes into Halifax dug up, all in ‘coordination’ with Calderdale Council. Not much coordination going on. The hole in Cain Lane in Southowram has been there for three months, and they cannot give a date when it will be fixed. Perhaps they need to tell the shareholders that too.

Stephen Garside

Well you’re doing Elland and Stainland / West Vale so what’s yet another disruption in and around Halifax.

Samantha Turner

For god’s sake, now I’m going to get stuck her, then in West Vale, then on Elland Bridge. Best leave for work three hours early.

Lynn Custance

When stuck in road works, please remember to not block roads. Currently to get up Green Lane in

West Vale, I get stuck at least three times twice a day because people don’t leave gaps for traffic to get up side streets. It’s ignorant and shows a lack of common sense.

Wendy Payne

Another example of anything Calderdale Council is involved in becoming very quickly manure. They don’t learn from their past mistakes.

Kevin Sweeneye

More ill thought-out roadworks thanks to the incompetence at CMBC. Where roadworks are required, they should be worked on 24 hours a day by as many staff as required to finish the job in the safest, fastest time possible.

The road works in Southowram have taken months, and nobody is ever seen working on them, yet it causes significant traffic in rush hour.
