Online support from Lattitude7
BRIGHOUSE-BASED TRAINING company, Lattitude7 is providing learning resources to the community to help during the current epidemic.
Ordinarily, Lattitude7 would deliver training in a face-to-face setting but, as this is not now possible, the company founder, Martin Haigh said: “Given the understandable social distancing challenges, we are now offering to support people by providing online resources, many of which are free-of-charge.”
There are three strands to the offer: Firstly, recognising the value of exercise during these times, the company is promoting three publications: ‘Start Line’, ‘Cycle for Work’ and ‘Have Fun with Fitness’. These books look at the physical and mental benefits of exercise, particularly helpful during lockdown. Cycle for Work’ is currently not online but Martin is offering to provide the e-version of this book free of charge. Whilst the book is free, Martin would like recipients to make a small donation to Brighouse charity ‘Focus4Hope’, a charity helping elderly, isolated and vulnerable people with food parcels during the crisis.
Secondly, Martin Haigh
recently produced a book entitled ‘Get Ready for Work’ which is designed to help people prepare for the world of work.
The book covers skills such as employer research, CV writing and interview techniques and Martin is now offering to guide readers through the book by launching a free on-line training programme. The programme will be provided in five, 45 minute sessions to help people get to grips with the skills required to secure a job after Covid-19.
A further initiative provided by Martin is the offer of online training to SMEs (small to medium enterprises) in the Leeds City Region.
