Goody bag for helpful services

-

AHebden Bridge business has delivered boxes of goodies to shops in the town as a thank you for their service during the coronavirus lockdown.

The Tonic, which sells cannabidiol products, is run by directors Kate Henderson and Michelle Oxley, who are residents of the town.

Kate said: “We have closed our doors to the public, but have managed to continue trading online with all orders being processed by our local Post Office.

“They are a lifeline for many, and Satnam Singh and his staff have continued to service our town with all our essential services throughout this lockdown.

“Another resource we have been so grateful of is Oasis News and Grocers. The staff are doing a wonderful job and braving the face to face contact with the public day in, day out.

“To show our gratitude, we delivered to them a box of Tonic CBD treats, containing our CBD infused hand creams, lip balms and the all essential CBD Oils which are great to ease anxiety instil some calm and focus.

“We are truly thankful of all the front line workers keeping this town running, including the Royal Mail staff, bin men, supermarket staff, bus drivers and others.”

Kate added: “We made the considered and sensible decision to close the Hebden Bridge shop before the nationwide lockdown was officially announced as many of our customers are deemed high risk and their safety is paramount.

“We have the advantage of having an online store so we adapted to the situation and offered everyone free delivery and generous discounts to ensure everyone could continue to access their essential CBD as easily as possible.

“If it wasn’t for Satnam Singh and his team of staff at the Post Office doing an admirable job we wouldn’t have been able to continue processing orders and function as a business.”
