Board representatives wanted from business and community
Business and community representatives from Brighouse and Todmorden are urged to apply for roles on newly created Town Deal Boards.
The boards are designed to help shape improvements in each town and are being created to support bids made in November last year by Calderdale Council for a share of the Government’s new multi-million pound Town Deals pot. Funding could realise up to £25 million for each of the two towns.
The new Town Deals Boards include representatives from Calderdale Council and the West Yorkshire Combined
Authority, and Calder Valley MP Craig Whittaker. Representatives from businesses and the community or voluntary sectors are invited to apply for positions to help draw up ambitious plans with a focus on improved transport, broadband connectivity, skills and culture.
