Fax announce quartet’s new deals for forthcoming campaign

-

Halifax RLFC have announced that quartet Elliot Morris, Brandon Moore, Shaun Robinson and Conor McGrath have all signed new deals with the club ahead of the 2021 Betfred Championship campaign.

Morris, the 24 year old prop, enters his sixth year with Fax after joining the club’s reserve ranks back in 2016.

He has made 83 appearances so far, scoring eight tries. And Morris was ready to do it all again in the blue and white of Halifax.

“I’m buzzing to be back on board again for another year. I have full faith in Simon and I can’t wait to get back down to The Shay again,” he told the club’s website.

Morris has enjoyed a steady rise from standout reserve teamer to holding the famous number eight shirt.

As a solidly consistent performer and a real team player, Fax boss Simon Grix was happy to have Elliot in his squad for another campaign.

“Elliot has made steady progress over his years at the club. He is a strong and somewhat awkward ball carrier and packs a punch in defence too.

“At 24, he is maturing and has his prime ahead of him. I look forward to pre season where we can put the work in to allow Elliot to kick on again.”

Forward Moore extends his stay at The Shay for another turn after enjoying his best season yet in the blue and white hoops.

Moore picked up the Star Man Award in 2019 for Halifax

RLFC Player of the Season, after picking up Players’ Player of the Season the previous year.

He was also nominated for Championship young player of the season in both 2018 and 2019, crowning a solid rise through the ranks from promising reserve talent to reliable first team hooker.
