Maybe Unicef should mandate that parents bring their kids up to be respectful.
Simon Broadley
I’ve never heard such nonsense!
Matt Thornton
Maybe just being taken down by a taser would buy time for a few minutes to de-escalate a situation.
Helen Beard
This is why the world is going to pot! The perps, no matter what age, get away with everything!
Heather Clark
Disagree - police don’t use these things unless they need to.
Aileen Barrass
Forgive my ignorance, but isn’t a knife held by a child just as deadly as a knife held by an adult? Unicef may have good intentions, but doubt the report’s writers are the ones on the street risking their lives trying to keep people safe!
Peter Cresswell
Yes they should, that’s disgusting using such force on children, should be ashamed of themselves, these are children.
Lisa Douglas
Police don’t like using tasers unless they absolutely have to anyway. Once used there’s an excessive force form to fill in and at least three different governing checks to ensure that it was lawful use. They should be allowed to use them on under 18s if the situation requires it, they are given plenty of warning they are prepared to use them.
Bridget Williams
If they think they are old enough to do the crime then they are old enough to do the time. This is the reason kids behave like they do nowadays because there is no punishment.
Adele Webb
Maybe UNICEF officials should go out on patrol with police before passing judgement! Too many people in power are keen to tell us how to do things.
Chris Gozzard
Just follow the laws of the land and behave and no taser required! Simple really.
