I GET on with both Pete Wild and Chris Millington really well, they’re both really good how they get me involved with certain things.

To get me involved and help push me in my coaching career is fantastic.

Coaches can sometimes be a bit precious of their thoughts and their thoughts only, but that’s certainly not been the case with the manager and Milly.

They’ve got me involved and asked me questions.

They’ve always said I’ve played a lot of years and seen a lot of things so my perspective might put a different spin on what they think,

They work really well together and have done since coming in, they bounce off each other.

The amount of deliberations they go over, not just at the training ground but in Zoom meetings after training and after games, it’s something they’ve got me involved in as well. It’s a big process in the fact that we’re reviewing games and then looking forward and seeing how best we can go about beating the next opposition.

It seems to be very constant in their thoughts to keep the process rolling.

The manager has the final say but they’re not too precious in it being their way and their way only, which is good.

They’re very organised, the players know who they’re going to be coming up against and what sort of team shape and formation they’ll play.

They’re also organised in knowing how they want to play and how they want us to go and exploit the opposition’s weaknesses.

They’re pushing the club forward as much as they can.

They’re probably a bit more inexperienced than other people I’ve worked under, but I don’t think Pete would mind me saying that.

He’s constantly learning, and that’s why the feedback from everyone is something he takes on board.

I can see them really pushing the club forward.
